As a family photographer, there’s nothing more fulfilling than seeing families return year after year, allowing me to capture the chapters of their journey together. One of my favorite holiday traditions is photographing Mommy Daisy and her beautiful family, who drive from Acton every year for their holiday family photos. This tradition started years ago with a milestone session for her second son when he was just 100 days old. I still remember that day clearly, watching big brother play in my backyard while Daisy took a moment to feed her little one. Those are the quiet, beautiful moments I get to witness, and they remind me why I love what I do.
Since that first session, Daisy has trusted me to document her family’s holiday memories each year. With her warmth and loyalty, she’s been a true supporter of my business. Every year, she purchases the full gallery of images, as the holiday mini session also beautifully coincides with one of her son’s birthdays. Daisy’s loyalty and love for capturing her family’s memories have been an inspiration to me and a huge part of my journey from a part-time home studio photographer to a full-time family photographer in a commercial space.
What makes each session special is watching Daisy's children grow up, year by year. It’s especially heartwarming when they start to remember me, waving and smiling as soon as they arrive. Daisy’s commitment to preserving these moments has not only allowed her family to build a rich collection of holiday memories but has also created a wonderful tradition that I am honored to be a part of.
This year, as always, Daisy and her family drove from Acton to my new Woburn studio, keeping our holiday tradition alive. Families like Daisy’s remind me of why I chose this career—it’s about connection, trust, and celebrating the bonds that make each family unique. To be chosen to capture these memories year after year is the greatest compliment I could receive.
I am forever grateful for families like Daisy’s, who have supported me along this journey. Here’s to many more years of holiday memories, growth, and cherished moments captured together!Acton Holiday Family Photos: A Special Tradition with Daisy's Family
